If Minecraft crashes when loading the Cyan Plex resource pack, you’re not alone, this is most commonly reported on devices running Intel UHD Graphics or older Intel integrated GPUs. The steps below cover the most effective fixes in order of likelihood, so work through them from the top before skipping ahead.

Update your graphics drivers

Outdated Intel UHD drivers are the single most common cause of resource pack crashes. Visit the Intel Download Center, search for your GPU model, and install the latest available driver. Restart your computer once the installation is complete, then try launching Minecraft again.

Update Minecraft

Make sure you are running the latest release of Minecraft. The resource pack may use rendering features or textures that are not supported in older versions. Open your launcher, check for updates, and upgrade if a newer version is available.

Disable Iris / Sodium

Iris Shaders can conflict directly with our resource pack’s rendering pipeline. Open your .minecraft/mods folder and remove or disable iris-*.jar (and sodium-*.jar if present). Launch Minecraft without them and attempt to join the server again.

Remove all mods and test

If the crash persists, clear your entire .minecraft/mods folder and test with a completely vanilla setup. If the crash disappears, re-add your mods one at a time, restarting Minecraft each time, until the crash returns, the last mod you added is the culprit.

Switch to a clean launcher

Launchers like FastClient and SKLauncher are known to inject additional mods into your game automatically, which can trigger conflicts. Switch to AstralRinth, it launches Minecraft without adding anything extra, giving you a clean environment to test with.

If none of the steps above resolved the crash, reach out to us with your log files attached. Our team needs these files to diagnose the issue.
Locate the following files in File Explorer or paste the paths directly into the Explorer address bar:
Attach both latest.log and the relevant crash report file (named with a timestamp) when posting your support request. Reports without logs take significantly longer to resolve.

Last resort: disable the resource pack

If you need to play immediately while waiting for a fix, you can prevent the resource pack from loading entirely.
Disabling the server resource pack means the game will use default Minecraft textures. You will not see any of Cyan Plex’s custom blocks, items, or visual effects until the pack is re-enabled.

Open the Server List

Launch Minecraft and navigate to the Multiplayer screen.

Edit the Cyan Plex entry

Hover over Cyan Plex in the list and click the Edit (pencil) button.

Disable the resource pack

Find the Server Resource Packs option and set it to Disabled.

Save and join

Click Done to save your changes, then join the server as normal. The resource pack will no longer be downloaded or applied.
